Yanni’s Greek Restaurant is a traditional Greek eatery that has been open for business since 1984. The restaurant is owned and operated by Yanni Kostas, a Greece-born chef who specializes in authentic Greek cuisine. Yanni’s Greek Restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Toronto and is open for lunch and dinner service.

Makis, the owner of the Greek restaurant featured on Gordon Ramsay’s show, is considering retiring. The restaurant is packed and their Facebook page shows regular specials, events and new menu items. Yelp reviews are mostly positive. However, reviews from regulars shortly after the show was filmed didn’t like all of Gordon’s menu changes.

It’s always tough to see a show end, especially one that you’re passionate about. But sometimes it’s necessary, and that seems to be the case with Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Ramsay hit a breaking point with one of the restaurants on his show and realized that it was time to move on. We’re thankful for the show while it lasted and we’ll always cherish the memories.

The lawsuit in question pertains to an episode of Kitchen Nightmares that was filmed at Oceana Grill in 2018. In the episode, Gordon Ramsay is critical of the restaurant’s food and cleanliness, and the show portrayals the restaurant in a negative light. Oceana Grill sued Ramsay and the show for defamation, claiming that the portrayal was untrue and harmed their business.
A jury ultimately sided with Ramsay and the show, finding that the portrayal was not defamatory. Oceana Grill was ordered to pay Ramsay and the show’s legal fees, which are estimated to be around $130,000.

Pantaleone’s is one of the most successful restaurants to have come out of Kitchen Nightmares and it remains popular and highly-rated to this day. Although Kitchen nightmares is a very entertaining show to watch, the success rate of the restaurants that appeared on the show is extremely low.
Pantaleone’s is an exception to this rule, as it has not only maintained its success, but has actually grown in popularity since appearing on the show. This is a testament to the quality of the food and service at Pantaleone’s, as well as the dedication of the staff to making sure that each and every customer has a positive experience.
